Overview
For new builds we use Laravel: routing, validation, queues, authentication and database migrations come built in, which means less custom plumbing and a codebase any experienced PHP developer can follow.
Many businesses already run on CodeIgniter. We know it well — the Boronia Laundry Solutions platform is built on it — and we can extend those systems, upgrade them to supported PHP versions, or plan a gradual move to Laravel.

Is PHP still a good choice for new projects?
Yes, for the right project. Modern PHP with Laravel is fast, well supported and easy to hire for. It's especially strong for admin-heavy business applications and teams already on PHP hosting.
Can you work on code another developer wrote?
Yes — that's a large part of our PHP work. We start with an audit, document what we find, fix the urgent issues and then continue with improvements.
Should we move from CodeIgniter to Laravel?
Not always. If the CodeIgniter app is stable and maintained, extending it is usually cheaper. We recommend a move to Laravel when you need features Laravel provides out of the box, or the codebase has become hard to change.
Can our PHP system work with a mobile app or React front end?
Yes. We add a secure REST API to the existing system, so new front ends and mobile apps use the same data and business rules.
